WELCOME BACK MCAULIFFE!
 
As students begin a new school year, we encourage our parents to do their "homework'' and:
  • GET CONNECTED by logging into your Parentlink account to provide us with multiple ways we can reach you, including e-mail.
  • STAY CONNECTED by logging into Portal account to access your child's schedule and interim reports and/or report cards during the course of the year.
 
If you have not received your letter dated Aug. 19 with your Portal and Parentlink passwords:
  • You can e-mail portalsupport@jacksonsd.k12.nj.us and alert us to the fact that you still have not received your letter or that you are "locked out'' due to multiple incorrect attempts. Please include your name, your address, your phone number, your child's name, his/her school, his/her student ID number if you have it. If you have logged into Parentlink in the past and provided us with an e-mail address, you can have the login/password letter e-mailed back to you. if not, we will mail it out to you.
 
ATHLETICS and ACTIVITIES PARTICIPATION FEE
 
Beginning this year, the Jackson School District will implement a "Participation Fee" for athletics and after-school activities at the middle school and high school levels. This new fee was discussed during the budget process and is being assessed to help create revenue to sustain district athletic and extra-curricular programming. Campbell's E-Labels for Education.com at Shop Rite
 
Shop Rite is introducing E-Labels for Education from the Campbell Soup Company.  Now our school can electronically collect Labels for Education points.  No more clipping, only clicking!
 
To register, go to www.ShopRite.com/eLFE.  
Register your Shop Rite Price Plus Club Card and then select our school. 
 
When parentsregister their Shop-rite Price Plus Club Card and choose the Christa McAuliffe Middle School, we will get 100 free E-Labels just for the registration plus all future labels will be electronicallycredited to our school.
 
The Labels for Education Program has provided schools with classroom and extracurricular equipment for years; the E-Labels for Education Program will continue this program and make it so much easier.

10th Annual
Run for Vets Event
Over 800 students, teachers, staff, and veterans came out to show their support, even though it was raining.  Run for Vets was a complete success; it started with a breakfast where many students invited a veteran to be honored, many of who stayed to speak with social studies classes throughout the day, and finished up with the walk/run after school outside.  Congratulations to all that participated and won awards in the walk/run.

Message From the Principal

WELCOME FROM THE NEW PRINCIPAL, MR. ROTANTE
 
I am very excited to be joining the McAuliffe Staff as the new Principal for the 2010-2011 School year.  I began my teaching career at McAuliffe and am looking forward to returning to a school that I am familiar with and enjoyed many great experiences.  From my experiences here as a teacher, I recall that McAuliffe always had a close family atmosphere among the staff, students and parents.  I plan on keeping that feeling going!
 
My goals as the Principal are to provide a learning environment where every child feels special, challenge all students to be the best they can be, and help make every day of school enjoyable.  In my experiences as a Principal, these are attainable goals with team work between the students, staff and families.
 
I am looking forward to seeing all of the students and families I have gotten to know from the Crawford-Rodriguez and Rosenauer Schools and look forward to meeting all the new families.  
 
Along with the Assistant Principals, Mr. Kossmann, Mrs. Phillips and the entire staff at McAuliffe Middle School, I am eagerly awaiting the opening of school in September.  I look forward to working together for a successful and rewarding school year.
