"On February 26th, the McAuliffe Middle School invited Mr. Drew Stevens of the Josh Stevens Foundation to present an assembly on the importance of kindness and the legacy students can leave behind. To support this very important message, all of the staff at McAuliffe wore "Be Kind Like Josh" T-shirts, provided by the School and Home Association, to demonstrate to the students our solidarity toward this positive movement promoting kindness in our school. Anyone who wants to learn more about this foundation can logon to JoshStevensFoundations."

Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As we are approaching the end of the 3rd marking period, I wanted to remind all students and parents that there is still much to accomplish between now and the end of the school year.  NJ ASK testing will commence on April 28 for all 7th and 8th grade students.  May 5th is our starting date for our 6th grade test takers.  An NJASK informational letter and booklet was sent home last week and an email was sent as well with the dates and delayed opening schedule.  Please read this information carefully.

We have sent home to all 6th and 7th grade students, the humanities elective course selection sheets.  A brief description of each course offering, along with the sign-up sheet, was distributed in homerooms today, April 7, and are to be returned by April 10th.

Finally, a reminder that the end of the year calendar is filled with concerts, induction ceremonies, awards ceremonies, educational excursions, athletic events and other programs.  Please continue to check the district calendar of events to be kept informed of all the activities at McAuliffe and around the district.

Yours in education,

Debra Phillips, Principal
